Heather Menzies Urich dies at 68. 'Sound of Music' star
More than 50 years after her star turn in "The Sound of Music," actress Heather Menzies Urich has died of brain cancer, her son told CNN. She was 68 years very old.
Menzies Urich played Louisa von Trapp in the eternal 1965 movie, neighboring door to six supplementary "von Trapp children."
She has diagnosed in the sky of glioblastoma multiforme just approximately a month ago, and her health declined swiftly, her son Ryan Urich said.
He said his mother died Sunday, in the middle of loved ones at associates blazing in Canada.
"The most important matter was my mother was an actress, intelligent dancer (and) in fact grasping in arts and theater," Urich told CNN. "She had this incredible network of intimates."
The actress was a juvenile following she played Louisa, who famously tried to trick Julie Andrews' environment into believing she was substitute sibling, Brigitta.
As an adult, Menzies Urich had roles in films such as "Outside In" and TV shows such as "Spenser: For Hire."

She married actor Robert Urich in 1975. After her husband's death in 2002, Menzies Urich founded the Robert Urich Foundation, which raises funds for cancer research.
"After my husband aimless his scuffle virtually April 16th, 2002, I vowed that I would make it my life's mission to continue to brawl for his desire and vision: a world where the word 'cancer' is helpfully a memory of conflict we have won," Menzies Urich wrote upon the opening's website.
Menzies Urich is survived by three children and eight grandchildren.
